Weekend Plans (Dec. 18-20)

December 18, 2009

This weekend is your last chance to get in some hockey before Christmas, so let’s see what’s going on.

Friday

High School

Marian v. Lakeshore/St. Joe Red

@ The Ice Box, 7:15 pm

These are two teams seperated by only two points in the league standings. Of the games tonight this is one of the better ones.

Crown Point v. Lake Central

@ Midwest Training and Ice Center, 7:30 pm

This is a Lake County rivarly and that alone makes it worth watching.

Riley v. Adams

@ The Ice Box, 9 pm

This is the best matchup for high school hockey on Friday. Both teams seem really even and this should be a good game.

USHL

Ice v. Youngstown Phantoms

@ Pepsi Coliseum, 7 pm

Both teams are fighting it out to reach the top of the East Division. This should be a great contest.

IHL

Komets v. Quad City

@ Allen County War Memorial Coliseum, 8 pm

A slumping Komets squad takes on a Quad City club that cannot catch a break. No idea what to expect from this game.

Saturday

High School

HSE A v. Carroll

@ McMillen Blue, 11:20 am

Both of these teams are great and should make for a fantastic game.

St. Joseph’s v. Riley

@ The Ice Box, 4:15 pm

A top team faces a good team in this matchup. One worth watching.

Noblesville v. Crown Point

@ Midwest Training and Ice Center, 4:50 pm

Two middle of the road teams face-off in a game where parity will create a good game.

Munster v. Lake Central

@ Midwest Training and Ice Center, 6:20 pm

A fantastic Munster team faces a league rival.

IHL

Ice v. Cedar Rapids RoughRiders

@ Pepsi Coliseum, 7 pm

These two teams are seperated by a mere three points. This will be a battle for second in the East Division.

Sunday

Homestead v. Penn Gold

@The Ice Box, 10:15 am

Two teams near the top of their respective leagues face-off in this crossover match.

Homestead v. Marian

@ The Ice Box, 3:15 pm

Homestead plays their second crossover game of the day against another excellent opponent.

GAME OF THE WEEK

Riley v. Adams gets the honor this week. It really seems like this will be your best bet to get your hockey fill before Christmas.
